About the Programme

An Undergraduate programme that offers students a unique opportunity to explore the relationship between innovative design and contemporary technology concept, context and realization. The students will acquire and develop both technical and business skills to succeed in today’s competitive fashion industry as well as study the processes involved in the production of various fashion garments as these are the building blocks for any successful fashion designer.

Apparel Design & Merchandising provides an opportunity to challenge clothing through technology, and in the process, develop innovative techniques for mastering fashion. Such a programme ensures that each professional, although specifically qualified for a particular specialization area, is also able to interact competently with other non-specialized areas of functioning necessary for competent design technologists. The programme inculcates functioning within the context of design and merchandising as a responsible member of a core team.

Duration : 3 years

About the Programme

An Under-Graduate Programme that allows students to gain basic concepts and knowledge in core subjects related to the fashion communication, branding and promotion, its related business and industry, and allied studies related to eventual specialization in fashion communication. The programme includes basics of design, drawing, and fashion studies, principles of marketing, fashion styling, fashion journalism and portfolio development. Hence, the fashion communication programme allows students to master the skills necessary for professional success. Students will learn to apply critical decision making tools and practical experience into solving problems in various applications associated with fashion business.

Such a programme ensures that each professional, although specifically qualified for a particular specialization area, is also able to interact competently with other non-specialized areas of functioning necessary for an effective Fashion Communication. The programme inculcates functioning within the context of Communication in Fashion industry as a responsible member of a core team.

Duration : 2years

A Post-Graduate programme that allows students from diverse backgrounds to gain basic concepts and knowledge in core subjects related to the apparel product and industry, business, and allied studies related to a focused specialization in apparel production management.

To train students in advanced, comprehensive practical skills and techniques employed for specialized applications in apparel production management as applicable to both, export and the growing domestic sectors.

The Programme emphasizes on intensive theoretical and applied training in core areas of apparel production, supply chain management, textiles, apparel merchandising and computer applications.

On completion of the programme students would work as Assistant Production Managers / Production Executives /Assistant QA managers/Assistant Managers PPC. They would be able to understand and work within established production systems according to the company’s product requirements, will be able to implement procedures and MIS for raw material and resource planning, sourcing and order execution/replenishment, will be able to understand and implement the company’s quality systems to ensure product quality requirements, will be able to understand and implement supply chain follow-up requirement for timely deliveries, co-ordinate between production and other departments in the organization.


Fashion Retail Management

Duration: 2 years
